Some people are simply selfish! It's not a good thing to be and I think it's worse than being Jealous! Yes there is a healthy degree of selfishness you have to portray to survive especially if you are dealing with human leeches, inconsiderate individuals or people who simply don't have your best interest at heart.
It is terrible when you are dealing with your own family or even in a place where you have to work in a team or group and there goes Mr/Ms Selfish. These people are not necessarily conceeded folks but they really go above and beyond the regular extent of looking out for their own dam self.
They are beyond inconsiderate, they often take what they don't need even if they see it is a strain on you. When they have enough or more than enough they won't dare offer you any as they are holding on to it for later. The selfish individual won't even admit to having more or any they generally omit the fact that they have or blatantly lie about have anything. They pretend that they don't have things they often do. They act like they are struggling when they are not and often times will let some one go out there way for them even when it is not neccsary. They'll watch you struggle or simply not be around during your harships because they can make due on their own.Selfish people will take what's yours while keeping theirs too.
It never pays to be a selfish individual because in the end you cheat yourself. When people realize you are selfish not only will no one want to be bothered with you they won't help you even when you need it.
Remeber that it's always better to give than receive.

They are always thinking about their own needs and gains of the self that they can't possibly think of another. Even when you confront them, they have some excuse or reasoning behind their behavior and they are so lame it's insulting. They'll say things like "well you offered", "Oh I didn't think you minded" and my favorite is "I thought that's what you wanted".
It never pays to be a selfish individual because in the end you cheat yourself. When people realize you are selfish not only will no one want to be bothered with you they won't help you even when you need it.
Remeber that it's always better to give than receive.
