What does it mean to be the bigger person? I usually hear people giving advice to another to be the bigger person, but what does that mean?
My personal opinion about being the bigger person is this; it is a way to avoid confrontations and it allows people to get away with simple nuisances and other behavior that is unacceptable.
Some things can be ignored but that is not being a bigger person it's called ignoring things. We all have been told as a child to ignore things and as adults it's converted into being the bigger person...Okay!
People will say it means your mature. Others might say it means that you won't engage in conflicts that are beneath you or you will simply let it go. Some say it means your attitude is bigger than the other and more adult like.
