Hip-Hop Yoga

Not very long ago I was a special guest on Yoga Xpress. I helped instruct people through various yoga poses that can help prepare your body for those unique hiphop moves. From rolling and springing quickly to ones feet, tumbling and rolling, amogst other things.

I also addressed the fact that many hip hop moves are very similar to Yoga postures but the average person is unaware of this fact. I have also choreographed several hiphop dance routines that are a combination of various Yoga Postures.

It was a unique experience and further encourages me to find unique movements to incorporate in my dancing.

The best part is that both Yoga and Hip-hop, or dancing in general is a great and fun way to work out.
Yoga and hip hop can help to keep one in shape and even help people lose and maintain a healthy weight. The next time you are looking for a great work out that is fun try some HIP-HOP YOGA!
