What Is Stress?

Stress is something every human experiences, animals too, but I am addressing the stress people go through.

Stress can be defined a number of ways and unfortunately common knowledge of stress only highlights its negative impacts. I personally have my own understanding of stress. I identify stress as both positive and negative experiences that impacts a persons overall well being.
People of all ages can experience both good and bad stress; Infants, toddlers, children, teens, adults and the elderly too.

In my opinion bad stress is anything that causes anxiety, strain and pressure that is unwanted. Arguing with a loved one, poor time management or even poor money management can lead to negative stress factors.

 Good stress in my opinion is anything that you experience that is enjoyable that causes positive burst of excitment or a positive emmotional reaction. Beating a game, winning a lotterey ticket or even reuniting with someone who you have not been around for years.

 Most people are unaware of the fact that stress factors can be good or bad. The most important thing about stress factors is to know what your good stress factors and your bad stress factors are.

Being able to identify your stress factors will help you better to manage your stress and find a balance that will allow stress to be a positive life experience.
