Dreams; What Are They?

We all close our eyes at night or during some point in our day to go to sleep. Many of us are lucky enough to see images in our mind as we are unconscious. These images are dreams. Dreams are your brains way of processing all the things you have experienced and filtering it out on an unconsciously through your subconscious. Some people feel dreams are windows to our subconscious mind. Other people feel dreams are related to memories that we can't access in our waking state.

Whatever dreams are, they occur in every individual, whether they remember them or not. For some cultures, religions and spiritualies believe dreams are prophetic in some people. Christianity's famous dreamer is Joseph. In this story Joseph's dreams were prophetic and helped Egypt prepare for its worse years. For thousands of years people have tried to interpret and understand what dreams really are and what purpose they serve.
Freud and other psychologist and modern day scientist run studies about dreams. There are whole scietific researchers out there trying to figure out dreams and what they are.

Maybe we all should pay more attention to the dreams we are dreaming.
