Benefits of Healthy Eating

We often hear the terms "eating healthy" or "eating right", but the truth is that the majority of us don't really know what it means let alone the benefits that come along with healthy eating habits.

The average person typically doesn't know the proper portion of a serving size and some of them don't know what the major food groups we should be eating with every meal are. The American government is concerned with the health of its general public but they neglect to take time out to inform people what the true benefits of a healthy diet can bring.

1) More energy: When we ingest foods that are high in vitamins, proteins and other things that we need our body can use this fuel properly without the crash that sugary products and energy drinks bring.

2) Clear Skin: When we are eating healthy foods we tend to take in less oily and fatty products that cause acne and other skin blemishes. By drinking plenty of water and eating a good portion of water based food like fruits and vegetables our skin will not only become less oily but will become clearer and firmer.

 3) Good Digestive Health: The human body was built to intake only a reasonable amount of sugar, salt, oil and fat. We all know that people get their colons cleansed and there are all kinds of intestinal flushes available to help people rid there body of excess and unprocessed waste that gets clogged in the digestive system over the years. This shows many of the food we eat is damaging to our digestive system. Other issues people experience due to unhealthy eating habits are constipation, bloating, clotting, stomach aches/pains diarrhea and more.

4) Longevity: Eating right will lead to a longer life. Exposure to a high content of unhealthy foods like sugary, salty and unhealthy fat-based products cause medical ailments that take away from the human life expectancy. Some medical illnesses unhealthy products are associated with are diabetes, hypertension, digestive complications, heart disease, kidney malfunction, and obesity to name a few.

There are a lot more benefits to eating healthy but with these alone who wouldn't make that leap to healthy eating so they can embark on these remarkable benefits.
