A World of Colors

Did you know that all around the world different traditions, religions and cultures believe colors have their own meanings and energy associated with them? The colors energy impacts the person wearing it and the environments in which the color is used in. 
In various places throughout the world colors are used for specific ceremonies or events and are worn only for those occasions. The energy that these colors yield have a similar effect to the energy that some traditions believe metals, gems and stones carry with them. In various traditions it is believed that when they wear certain colors or decorate their homes with these colors its energy impacts the attitude, situations, love, family, friendship and healing happening around them.














Colors and Their Meanings
Pink: 
In America pink is a feminine color. In India it represents love and calmness. In Korea pink is a color that represents trust.


Red: 
In China and parts of Africa red is the color of good luck and fortune. In America red is the color of love. In parts of Europe red represents masculinity and in Turkey red is associated with death.

White:
In America white represents calmness and peace. In China and Japan the color white is associated with death. White is the color of loneliness in India.


Green:
In Indonesia green is a forbidden color but in parts of the Middle East it's the color of Luck. Green symbolizes money in China and it is the color of envy for Americans.

Orange:
Orange is an auspicious and sacred color in Hinduism. In Ireland Orange is a religious color for protestants. In India Orange can be used to heal feelings associated with indecision and insecurity.

Yellow:
In China yellow symbolizes royalty and the power of the throne. In Saudi Arabia yellow is the color of strength and reliability. Yellow is the color of mourning for Mexicans.

 Black:
Black is the color of mourning in America. The color black symbolizes trust and high quality in China. In India black represents evil negativity and darkness.


Blue: 
In America blue is associated with feelings of sadness like the term "feeling blue". Americans also sing the blues. In Iran blue represents immortality and in Korea it's the color of mourning. In Egypt blue is a color of protection that can ward off evil.

Purple:
Purple is the symbol of expense in some Asian cultures. Purple is the color of mourning for Brazilians and is the color associated with spirituality in India. 

Brown:
Brown is the color for mourning in India. In Nicaragua brown can be worn as a sign of disapproval.
