I laid in my bed and began to think of everything I had seen and encountered during the day. I remembered seeing hundreds of people, animals, buildings, and trees. I even could remember seeing a small child offer to help a severely handicapped person onto public transportation. Of all these things nothing seemed to stand out any more than the rest to me. Then as I began to examine all of these things more closely; as I put them to the test, I began to see that, yes, some of these visions and sights that I had witnessed during the day were more unique and attractive than others. I then thought about why some of these things stood out more than the others did. I realized it was the beauty that each sight had. Then I began to ponder about beauty and what it truly is.
What is true beauty? It is a façade. The only being I believe that is capable of seeing true beauty is the being that we call God. To each of us he gave our own special eye. We are individualistic and in order to be one, we need two. It is because of this to some beauty we are blind. With our own separate styles and our own separate minds; it is up to us how beauty is perceived. For each of our individual pairs of eyes sees something different as beauty is received.
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder” or at least that’s what I was told. Beauty belongs to its owner. I know I see beauty. I see it all around me; beauty is on the corner and beauty can restore order. It is in the skies. I see beauty when I look low or turn my head up high. I am lucky with beauty, this I can’t deny. I mean for me, I see beauty everywhere I go. Sometimes I even try to let my own beauty show. Beauty is inside you, inside me, in the homes and all the species that we see. I’m sure some beauty I completely miss but to this I am bliss. I am lucky enough to know beauty is in everything, although some things are said to be prettier then they seem it makes me stop and wonder: “beauty, what does it really mean?”
For some people they see little beauty, they can’t find it in life; they have too much strife if they stop refusing and quit choosing from the different kinds of beauty they are given then one day from their sadness they’ll be ridden. I believe beauty is happy, and without happiness gained or happiness given most beauty you’re likely to ignore; from a simple act of kindness to those little things that people just adore.
What is true beauty? Honestly, I can only speak for me and the things of which I see. I believe beauty is what can set us free but first we have to learn how to let every bodies beauty be. When I see beauty I see what’s fit for me and some may not agree with me about the beauty in the things I see. This is okay because my world won’t end if they don’t see beauty in me. Yours really shouldn’t either because the beauty of life is that we all have a choice because where we see beauty is really up to us. After the long thought process I began to drift asleep and hoped that true beauty would find me in my dreams.
