I have decided to share with you all a poem I created at the age of 12. I entered it into a poetry contest that was district wide and I won second place. (YAY =0)) You'll find it below.
Today,
tomorrow and yesterday are the days which make up our lives.
The
days we celebrate.
The
days we worship.
The
past has left us and said goodbye.
The
past is still making history for some of us.
Some
of our pasts and futures have been told.
They
have no present nor future, their
life story has been told
Now there is nothing else to be said.
Now there is nothing else to be said.
The present is being done now.
Someway,
some how, it is being done now.
The
words we speak
The
movements we make.
Our
present is told as we go long.
It’s
like a never ending song.
Most
have a present, while others simply do not.
The
future is yet to come.
It
hasn’t arrives but will soon be here.
No
one knows what the future will bring
Good,
bad, happy or sad
The
future is the steps we will soon take
The
words that haven’t been spoken.
It
is the end of a story that hasn’t been told.
The
future can be good to some, while being bad for others and we don't truly know what will unfold.
Be it dark and grim or as bright as gold.
Be it dark and grim or as bright as gold.
Others
have no future, only a past.
Today, tomorrow and yesterday
The
words we say, the
words we spoke and the words soon to be spoken.
